The Lagos State Government has asked civil servants to return to the office full-time, working Monday to Friday as usual.
Last year, in February 2024, the government introduced a flexible work policy to help workers cope with economic difficulties after the removal of the petrol subsidy. Under this arrangement, junior staff only had to be in the office for two days a week, while senior staff continued working full-time.
Now, with the introduction of a new minimum wage and other welfare improvements, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has decided to cancel the work-from-home policy. This change takes effect from March 31, 2025.
The government is urging workers to fully commit to their duties and improve service delivery in their various offices.
