Popular Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie recently clapped back at a critic who speculated about the state of her marriage.
The mother of four had shared a promotional post for a women’s and children’s clothing brand on social media. In the video, she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring, which caught the attention of a follower identified as nurse Gift. The critic pointed out that Mercy had not been wearing her ring for some time and insinuated that her marriage might have collapsed, calling it “not making sense.”
Mercy Johnson, who has faced several rumors in recent times, didn’t hold back in her response. She harshly called the critic an “idiot” and wished Gift and her family the same negativity that was directed at her.
Fans of the actress rallied behind Mercy, praising her firm response and slamming the critic for prying into her personal life. Many followers also shared that not wearing a wedding ring does not necessarily indicate marital issues.
