An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan has ordered the remand of two men, Adekunle Isiaka (55) and Clement Ilesanmi (65), over the alleged murder of Abiodun Taoreed (28).

The defendants face charges of conspiracy and murder. However, the court did not take their plea due to a lack of jurisdiction.

Magistrate Olaolu Olanipekun directed the police to send the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.

The case was adjourned to May 5 for mention.
Allegations Against the Defendants
According to Prosecutor ASP Musbau Lawal:

The crime allegedly took place on March 9 at 2:00 a.m. in the Owode Academy area of Ibadan.

The accused beat the victim with a stick, leading to his death.

Their actions violate Sections 516 and 319 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendants have been remanded in custody pending further legal action.
