A tragic incident has shocked the Nigerian online community as a pregnant woman was gruesomely murdered by unknown assailants in her residence on the night of Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Although details remain unclear, reports circulating on social media suggest the victim, identified as Rumasa’u, was five months pregnant at the time of her death.
An Abuja-based X (formerly Twitter) user, Aunty Halima, was among the first to break the news online.
“Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rajiun. I’ve never in my life seen a human slaughtered like a ram until this time… She was found slaughtered by an unknown person,” she wrote, calling on the @PoliceNG to launch a proper investigation.
Another user, Ahmad, confirmed the story and shared heartbreaking details:
“Her husband stepped out to buy things at a nearby market… He kept calling her, but her phone wasn’t going through. He came back home angry—only to find her in a pool of blood, butchered like a ram. Saddest thing I’ve ever heard. Rest in Jannah, Rumasa’u.”
