Nigerian music star Davido recently addressed the drama surrounding his feud with fellow artist Tiwa Savage.
For context, in January 2024, Tiwa Savage filed a police complaint against Davido, accusing him of threatening her after she posted a photo with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s baby mama. Naturally, fans were left wondering if there was some bad blood between the two.
But on Tuesday’s episode of The Breakfast Show, Davido set the record straight, brushing off any notion of a serious ongoing conflict.
He explained that their fallout was just a “temporary disagreement” and clarified that there’s no bad blood. He said, “That’s my sister, man. She’s cool. I remember when all of us, Me and Tiwa, used to stay in the same house. That’s like my big sis, like, you know what I’m saying? She saw me as a youngin’, you know what I’m saying?”
According to Davido, the tension came from a more personal issue. He shared, “The situation with Tiwa was like kind of personal. She’s very, very good friends with the mom of my daughter, my first daughter, which you know, we were in court, having custody and stuff like that.”
Davido continued, “So I just felt like, help me, you know, see my daughter, that type of stuff. So we just got into a little argument. It was nothing, it was just like brothers and sisters arguing.”
Seems like it was a misunderstanding, and nothing more. The two are clearly still on good terms, despite the drama.
