Renowned Nigerian guitarist Ifiok Effanga, popularly known as Fiokee, has announced the funeral details for his sister, Emem Effanga, who was tragically murdered by her boyfriend, Ndifreke Isaiah Nelson.
Emem, a makeup artist and hairstylist based in Uyo, was reportedly strangled and beaten to death on February 6, 2025.
Fiokee, known for his collaborations with artists like Davido, D’banj, and Flavour, shared her obituary on Monday, March 17. This came just hours after the Akwa Ibom State Police Command confirmed the suspect’s arrest.
Emem will be laid to rest on March 22, 2025, in her hometown of Onna, Akwa Ibom
State.
