A five-year-old boy, Ramadan Mayeleeke, is in desperate need of N5,875,000 to undergo life-saving heart surgery after being diagnosed with three holes in his heart.
According to his medical report from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ramadan has been battling a chest infection since birth. He was diagnosed with:
🔹 Secundum Atrial Septal Defect (ASD)
🔹 Right Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection
🔹 Small Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)
🔹 Moderate Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH)
His condition has led to recurrent chest infections and severe breathing difficulties, requiring him to be on continuous anti-failure medication.
Ramadan is scheduled to undergo surgery at Tristate Health Care System in Lekki, Lagos. Sadly, he was due for the procedure in November 2022, but his family has been unable to raise the required funds.
In 2022, a non-profit organization, Gifting Volunteer Network, donated N500,000 to assist with his medical expenses, but the amount could only cover routine check-ups and medications.
Ramadan’s mother, Mrs. Tolani Mayeleeke, has been struggling emotionally and financially since his birth. She tearfully appealed for assistance:
“I want everyone to come to my rescue in saving my son’s life. My baby finds it hard to breathe; he is always in pain due to the multiple holes in his heart. He is in discomfort.”
