Afrobeats superstar Davido has smashed the record for the highest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria, with his latest single “With You” featuring Omah Lay racking up a staggering 4.98 million streams in its debut week.
The track, from Davido’s new album “5ive”, dethroned his previous hit “Funds” (featuring OdumoduBlvck and Chike) and recently soared to number one on the TurnTable Top 100, making Davido the only Nigerian artist to top the chart every year for six consecutive years.
According to Charts Data, “With You” now officially holds the title for the most-streamed debut week for a Nigerian song.
This marks Davido’s 11th number-one hit on the TurnTable chart, joining fan-favorites like “FEM” and “Awuke”. Three tracks from 5ive have already topped charts — “Awuke,” “Funds,” and “With You.”
Adding to the momentum, the 5-time Grammy nominee has unveiled dates for his “5 Alive” tour, which will hit major venues in the UK, US, and Canada. Highlights include a headline show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, alongside 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.
Davido is expected to perform hits from 5ive and career favorites — setting the stage for another record-breaking year.
