Some fans of Afrobeats superstar Davido, popularly known as 30BG, have allegedly assaulted a woman identified as Arike after she made an offensive remark about the singer’s late son, Ifeanyi.
According to reports circulating online, Arike—reportedly a supporter of fellow artist Wizkid—mocked Davido’s newly released 5ive album on Twitter, drawing a controversial comparison between its performance and the tragic drowning death of Ifeanyi in 2022.
The comment, which many deemed distasteful and cruel, provoked outrage among Davido’s loyal fan base. Some allegedly tracked Arike down and physically assaulted her in retaliation.
