Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has revealed that he dissed President Bola Tinubu in one of his songs as an act of loyalty to Peter Obi during the 2023 elections.
Taking to his official X handle on Thursday, April 3, the outspoken rapper stated that he believed in Obi’s vision and wanted to publicly support the Labour Party candidate.
However, he now claims that his reputation and legacy have suffered due to his stance, and he is calling on Obi to publicly support his upcoming album, The Machine Is Coming.
“I Dey Hope on Peter Obi”
In his post, Odumodublvck directly addressed Peter Obi, saying:
“Peter Obi, I even dissed Tinubu for you. Now, because of you, people are spitting on me and my legacy. Tweet The Machine Is Coming to rekindle and redeem our friendship, sir. Do not listen to them. Listen to your heart. The Machine Is Coming.”
The rapper was one of the most vocal celebrity supporters of Obi during the elections, openly endorsing him in interviews, social media posts, and song lyrics. In one track, he declared:
“I dey hope on Peter Obi to save me.”
He also revealed that he rejected an invitation to perform at Tinubu’s inauguration, stating, “They did not do their research.”
While Odumodublvck’s bold political stance earned him admiration during the elections, his recent remarks suggest he expected more public acknowledgment from Obi.
Now, as he prepares to release his new album, he is seeking public validation and support from the man he once defended.
