The Super Eagles of Nigeria are gearing up for a pivotal 2026 World Cup qualifier against Rwanda on March 21 in Kigali. To support the team, the Federal Government has arranged a chartered flight to transport 100 members of the unified Supporters Club and 50 other stakeholders to the match.
Nigeria currently sits in fifth place in Group C with three points, making this match a must-win to revive their World Cup hopes. Rwanda, led by head coach Adel Amrouche, boasts a formidable squad and tops Group C with seven points, alongside South Africa and Benin Republic.
Amrouche has finalized his selection after assessing players through local warm-up matches. The Rwandan squad consists of four goalkeepers, eight defenders, nine midfielders, and seven forwards. They will face the Super Eagles on March 21 before hosting Lesotho on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles trail Rwanda, South Africa, and Benin Republic, who have seven points each. Lesotho sits fourth with five points, while Zimbabwe is sixth with two points. A win against Rwanda is crucial for Nigeria’s World Cup qualification hopes.
