The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a slight change in the start date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The exams will now begin on April 24, not April 25 as earlier announced.
In a statement released on Saturday, JAMB spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, explained that the adjustment was made to accommodate important obligations involving the Board and its partner agencies.
As part of the update, Benjamin also announced that candidates can now print their UTME notification slips, which contain key exam details like the exam date, time, venue, and other important instructions.
“Candidates are encouraged to start printing their notification slips from today, April 19. This will give them enough time to make travel and logistics arrangements,” he said.

Benjamin also advised candidates to familiarise themselves with their exam centres at least a day or two before their scheduled test. He emphasized that candidates will only be posted to centres within the towns they selected, and no one will be posted outside their chosen location.
With this slight schedule change and the slip printing now live, candidates are urged to stay alert, get prepared, and plan ahead for a smooth exam experience.
