Nollywood filmmaker and actress Omoni Oboli’s latest movie, Love In Every Word, is back on YouTube after a temporary takedown due to a copyright claim.
Oboli reassured fans on Wednesday via Instagram that the issue had been resolved, thanking them for their support and encouraging them to keep watching.
“Hey besties, thank you for the love and concern. We deeply appreciate your calls, messages, posts, tweets, and comments—everything! I’m sorry I couldn’t respond earlier. There was a little misunderstanding with our movie Love In Every Word, but it’s all sorted now, and we’re back stronger than ever! Let’s make up for lost time and ensure the whole world watches Love In Every Word on Omoni Oboli TV. God will always be glorified,” she wrote.
What Happened?
Love In Every Word, a romantic drama produced by Oboli and written by Mfon-Abasi Inyang, premiered on March 7, 2025, and quickly became a massive hit, racking up over seven million views in just four days—making it Oboli’s most-watched film on YouTube.
However, on March 11, fans were shocked to find the movie removed from the platform. YouTube cited a copyright claim filed by Chinonso Obiora (Skyberry) as the reason for the takedown.
The move sparked an online uproar, with social media users questioning the legitimacy of the claim.
“How can people be this wicked? How do you claim rights to something that isn’t yours?” tweeted Enoch Owolabi, whose post quickly went viral.
Other fans, including Tabby Daizy and King Morgan, called the situation “heartbreaking” and speculated about possible legal issues behind the dispute.
Neither Oboli nor the claimant publicly addressed the matter before the film’s reinstatement.
