Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift has reportedly initiated legal proceedings against rapper Kanye West after he allegedly made a series of explicit and false claims about her on the social platform 𝕏 (formerly Twitter).
According to reports, Kanye made sexually suggestive and unverified remarks involving Swift, Harry Styles, and Justin Bieber. Swift’s legal team responded swiftly with a cease and desist letter, describing his behavior as “defamatory and harassing.”
“This isn’t just Kanye gossiping. This is Kanye sexually harassing a woman, slandering her, and trying to damage her career,” a source close to Swift revealed.
Backlash and Support
The rapper’s alleged statements have sparked a strong backlash online, with fans and public figures alike calling his behavior misogynistic and harmful. Swift’s partner, NFL star Travis Kelce, is reportedly “furious” over the incident, although he hasn’t commented publicly.
Longstanding Feud Rekindled
This incident adds yet another chapter to the ongoing feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West, which began with his infamous stage interruption at the 2009 MTV VMAs, and resurfaced with the controversial lyrics in his 2016 song Famous.
As of now, Kanye West or his representatives have not issued a response to the legal notice.
