Tensions have risen between Nollywood actresses Opeyemi Aiyeola and Eniola Badmus after a controversial comment made by Badmus under a video posted by Aiyeola. The issue began when Badmus allegedly body-shamed Aiyeola, pointing out her receding hairline in a public comment.
Following backlash, Eniola Badmus issued an apology, claiming her comment came from “a place of love” and wasn’t meant to mock or shame. However, Opeyemi Aiyeola wasn’t having it.
In a follow-up video, Aiyeola rejected the apology, stating it lacked sincerity. She emphasized that she and Badmus were not close, had never interacted publicly on social media before, and that Badmus’ apology felt disingenuous.
Aiyeola also made it clear:
“You can’t hurt me and then dictate how I respond. Respect is key. Respect boundaries.”
While thanking her fans for their support, Aiyeola urged them not to escalate the situation or turn it into a personal feud. She also subtly referenced Badmus’ own weight-loss journey, suggesting that someone who has gone through body-related struggles should be more sensitive.
