Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has stirred reactions online after laying out clear expectations for his daughter, Valerie Uloaku, as she celebrated her 25th birthday.
In a heartfelt message shared on his social media page on Tuesday, Kanayo praised Valerie—whom he fondly calls Uloaku (meaning “house of wealth”)—while offering fatherly advice and a gentle ultimatum.
“As I told you this morning while praying for you, it should be a day of sober reflections… things to copy, things to paste, and things to delete.”
He affectionately acknowledged her frequent travels, drawing a playful comparison to his own busy schedule as an actor:
“Good actors travel and are always on the move because they are always HIRED.”
However, the iconic actor also set a deadline for major life milestones. With love but clarity, he said:
“Before 2027, you are either walking down the aisle, going for your PhD, or walking out of my house. Simpliciter.”
Kanayo concluded his message with a prayer, asking for blessings upon his daughter from Chukwu Okike Abiama (God the Creator).
The post has since sparked a flurry of mixed reactions online—some praising his traditional values and others debating the expectations placed on young adults today.
