Bobrisky has found himself at the center of a trending online drama after revealing he was scammed in a romance and financial fraud scheme, losing $990 in the process. The popular crossdresser and social media influencer took to his platform to share the story, admitting he never expected to be a victim of such deception.
According to Bobrisky, he had been chatting for months with a man who claimed to be living in the U.S. before relocating to Canada. The scammer maintained frequent contact, building trust by showing interest in Bobrisky’s life and even calling regularly.
The issue escalated when a client from the U.S. contacted Bobrisky about an ad and requested to send payment via CashApp. Since Bobrisky didn’t have CashApp, he reached out to the man he’d been speaking to, who offered his account details. But once the money landed, the man blocked Bobrisky and disappeared.
In his post, Bobrisky wrote:
“I never thought in my life I would be a client to anybody. This guy came to my DM and we got talking for a few months. He said he lived in the USA but moved to Canada… As soon as he got the money, he blocked me immediately.”
However, according to a gossip blog update, the scammer has now refunded ₦1 million to Bobrisky after being publicly exposed.
Interestingly, the incident sparked even more online chatter when singer Portable Zazu humorously shared that he once landed on Bobrisky’s page by mistake while seeking “fine girls,” thinking the crossdresser was a woman.
