The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, disclosed this on Tuesday.
The Dangote Refinery has revealed it will supply a total of 25 million liters of petrol to the Nigerian market daily commencing from September 2024.
This was annoucned by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA on Tuesday.
In a statement, MDPRA said it met with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, to agree on local crude supply to the refinery.
“At the NMDPRA headquarters in Abuja, NNPCL reached an agreement to commence crude oil sale and supply to Dangote Refinery in local currency.
“The refinery is now poised to supply an initial 25 million liters of PMS into the domestic market this September. And will subsequently increase this amount to 30 million liters daily from October 2024,” the NMDPRA said on its X page.
This comes after the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote officially announced on Tuesday the first rollout of his first Premium Motor Spirit(Petrol) from the 650,000 barrels per day refinery.
Dangote also disclosed that the Federal Executive Council will decide the price of his Petrol.
