The Nigeria Police Force, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Command has announced that twin brothers, one Obike David and Obike Stanley have been arrested over ATM card theft.
Benneth Igweh, the FCT Commissioner of Police made the disclosure on Wednesday while parading the suspects in Abuja.
The CP said operatives from the command on Tuesday trailed and arrested the twin brothers, who specialize in stealing bank customers’ ATM for their criminal purposes.
He explained that the suspects execute their plans by claiming to assist unsuspecting persons who seem new to the operation of ATM machines.
While at it, the suspects usually swap their ATM cards and proceed to withdraw money from the accounts of their victims.
“During interrogation, they freely confessed to the crime and will be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigations”, the CP added.
