Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has dissolved the State Local Government Service Commission.
This is part of the ongoing reforms to enhance transparency, efficiency, and performance across public sector institutions.
A statement issued on Monday evening by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, emphasised that the decision aims to streamline government operations and revitalise the Commission for improved service delivery.
Governor Okpebholo assured citizens, public stakeholders, and staff that the dissolution would not disrupt ongoing official activities, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive engagement in restructuring the Commission for greater effectiveness.
“This move is necessary to reposition our Local Government Service Commission for more efficient service delivery. It aims to eliminate inefficiencies and foster a more accountable and effective structure,” the statement read.
