I just wanted to take a minute to talk to you about letting go of prayer perfectionism. I know what it feels like to wonder if you’re doing enough for your adult kids, especially when praying for them.
It’s so easy to get stuck in prayer perfectionism and think that we have to have just the right words or setting to make our prayers effective, but here’s what I’ve learned over the years as a mom: God doesn’t need us to be perfect. He doesn’t need the right words or even the right setting.
He just needs our hearts. So, if you feel like you don’t know what to say or if your words aren’t good enough, I get it. I’ve been there.
I’ve found that the best prayers aren’t fancy or polished. They’re real and honest, straight from the heart. Just show up as you are, trusting that God sees your love and willingness.
