Nigeria’s Super Falcons delivered an impressive 4-1 victory over Algeria in their second friendly match at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, on Tuesday.
Led by coach Justine Madugu, the Super Falcons had already secured a 2-0 win over the Algerian side in their previous encounter, with team captain Rasheedat Ajibade netting both goals.
In this follow-up match, however, Folashade Ijamilusi took center stage, scoring a remarkable hat-trick to lead the nine-time African champions to a commanding win.
Edo Queens striker Ijamilusi extended Nigeria’s lead shortly after her opening goal, doubling the advantage within seven minutes.

Although Algeria had a chance to narrow the deficit from a penalty in the 39th minute, they failed to convert. Still, Alouache Ouassila managed to pull one back for the Green Ladies just before halftime.
The Super Falcons regained their two-goal cushion moments later, as Tenerife forward Gift Monday scored right at the 45-minute mark.
Ijamilusi then sealed the win in the closing minutes, finding the net once more with just four minutes remaining, making it a dominant 4-1 finish for Nigeria.
