Lagos Police officers from the Area C command, who were accused of extorting more than N1 million from National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, have returned the funds.
The update was given by X user, Oluyemi Fasipe, who initially reported the incident.
He expressed gratitude for the swift response of Lagos Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin and the Lagos State NYSC officials in ensuring that justice was served.
However, he also noted that they are still awaiting the outcome of the officers’ trial, urging the public to remain vigilant as the case progresses.
