The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has launched an investigation into a viral video showing two individuals filming a scene on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, in the Victoria Island of Lagos State without official authorisation.
The video shows one of the young men exiting a grey Camry parked in the middle of the road, sitting on the car’s bonnet, while the other individual walks in front of the car and strikes a pose.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the LASTMA Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Adebayo Taofiq, noted that the agency is taking swift action to address the situation.
The statement read, “The attention of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has been drawn to a viral video on social media, depicting two individuals in a grey Camry (AAA 62 EL) enacting a scene on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, without official authorization.
“The Agency seeks to assure the public that an investigation has been promptly initiated, and that appropriate action will be taken, utilizing the vehicle’s registration number in strict compliance with the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law of 2018.”
