Popular Nigerian TikTok influencer, Peller, has responded to allegations made by Pastor Kesiena Esiri of Remnant Christian Network, who labeled him a negative influence on teenagers and partly blamed him for the recent UTME 2025 mass failure.
In a now-viral sermon, Pastor Esiri criticized Peller and his girlfriend, Jarvis, accusing the pair of promoting immorality through their online content. He claimed that their behavior is misleading Nigerian youth and distracting them from their academic goals.
“It’s what we’re making normal in society now,” Esiri said during the sermon. “This guy, Peller, is mentoring young people online. He spends all day with a girl he’s not married to, doing all sorts of things, and teens now think it’s normal. How can they pass JAMB with that kind of distraction?”
Peller Responds: “We Will Sue You”
Taking to TikTok Live, the 20-year-old influencer denied the allegations, stating that he’s not responsible for anyone’s exam performance. He emphasized that no one is forced to consume his content and accused the pastor of using his name to boost church offerings.
“One pastor went to church preaching about Peller and Jarvis, saying we made his kids fail JAMB,” Peller said. “Nobody is forcing anyone to watch our content. You see that pastor—we’ll sue you. You’re using our names to collect offerings in church. Gen Zs probably loved that sermon and donated more because the pastor talked about Peller.”
Peller also called out what he sees as hypocrisy, suggesting that the pastor was capitalizing on his popularity rather than addressing deeper issues affecting academic performance in Nigeria.
