The Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Professor Tosan Erhabor, the esteemed Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
Professor Erhabor reportedly passed away on the night of Sunday, April 13, 2025, in Abuja after a brief illness.
In a heartfelt condolence message released on Monday from Kano, the Founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described Professor Erhabor’s death as a significant loss not only to his family but to the entire nation.
“Nigeria, and particularly the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, has lost a remarkable scholar. His leadership, unwavering dedication, and invaluable contributions to the medical laboratory science profession will be profoundly missed,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
On behalf of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Gwarzo extended his deepest sympathies to the family, friends, associates, and colleagues of the late Professor Erhabor. He also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the management and staff of the MLSCN, recognizing their shared grief in this difficult moment.
Prof. Gwarzo concluded with a prayer for strength and comfort:
“May God Almighty console his family and all who mourn him, and grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
