American rapper Kanye West has revealed that he never wanted children with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, despite being married for seven years and having four kids together.
In an interview with DJ Akademiks, streamed on Rumble over the weekend, Kanye admitted that starting a family with Kim wasn’t something he truly wanted.
“I picked her, and it was absolutely my fault. I didn’t want to have children with her after the first two months of being with her. That wasn’t God’s plan,” Kanye said.
The rapper also expressed frustration over their current co-parenting arrangement, saying joint custody doesn’t feel equal to him.
“I don’t have name and likeness ownership, or at least 50-50 with my kids. So how’s it joint custody?” he questioned.
Although their divorce was finalized in 2022, Kanye and Kim continue to navigate co-parenting struggles for their four children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Sources close to Kim told TMZ that she’s uncomfortable with some of Kanye’s recent decisions, including:
- Introducing North to Andrew Tate, a controversial internet personality.
- Featuring North in a song with Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious sexual assault allegations.
With tensions rising, it remains to be seen how their co-parenting dynamic will unfold in the future.
