As Muslims across Nigeria celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fasting period, Senator Lawal Usman, the federal lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has called on the Muslim faithful to use the occasion to pray for peace, security, and economic stability in the country.
In a statement released in Kaduna, Senator Usman—fondly called ‘Senator LA’ by his constituents—emphasized the need for prayers to support Nigeria’s leaders at all levels, seeking wisdom, knowledge, and the strength to address the nation’s challenges.
“On this auspicious occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr, I urge the Muslim Ummah to pray for an end to insecurity, hardship, and economic difficulties in our communities and the country as a whole.
“I also encourage all Muslims to continue upholding the values of self-discipline, generosity, and righteousness practiced during Ramadan. Let us sustain the spirit of almsgiving, prayer, and moral conduct beyond the fasting period.”
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Education, Basic and Secondary, further reminded Muslims to embody the teachings of Islam by maintaining good character, avoiding negative behaviors, and committing to acts of kindness.
Senator Usman reassured his Kaduna Central constituents of his continued efforts to improve their access to basic necessities and the real dividends of democracy.
Eid Mubarak to all celebrating! May this season bring peace, prosperity, and unity to our nation.
