The Vice Chancellor of the newly established Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia (FUASK), Kaduna State, Professor William Barnabas Qurix, has assured that admissions and employment at the institution will be strictly based on merit.

Speaking after resuming duty alongside other principal officers following their inauguration by the Minister of Education, Professor Qurix reaffirmed his commitment to building a world-class citadel of learning dedicated to excellence in Applied Sciences.

“Our mission is to train men and women, equipping them with knowledge and skills that drive transformational development and progress. This requires focus, hard work, partnerships, and transnational education linkages. We will knock on the doors of world universities to seek partnerships,” he stated.

Emphasizing that students must earn their admission scores on merit, Qurix said the university has the potential to positively impact Nigeria by producing skilled professionals in Applied Sciences.
