Nigerian reality TV star and actress, Bambam, has courageously opened up about the life-threatening complications she faced while giving birth to her first child, Zendaya, in 2020.
A Nightmare Labour Experience
In a recent episode of the Me & My Girls podcast, Bambam revealed that her journey to motherhood was marred by a traumatic labour experience. She recounted how her vital organs began to fail during delivery, leaving her and her baby’s life hanging in the balance.
Negligence and Medical Complications

She shared her own harrowing experience, saying, “My kidney failed, my heart was weak, and my liver was shutting down. My daughter had detached from the placenta, and if I had arrived at the hospital any later, she would have lost oxygen, and I would have had a stillbirth.”
Emotional Scars and Road to Healing
The traumatic experience left Bambam with emotional scars, and she admitted to being haunted by “what ifs” and feelings of anxiety. She revealed that she had to undergo therapy to cope with her emotions and learn to focus on gratitude.
