Nigeria men’s senior football team, the Super Eagles will discover their group foes of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on January 27 when the draw will take place.
This was announced at a meeting of the executive council of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday, 16 December 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco.
Chaired by CAF President Patrice Motsepe, the committee said the tournament’s draw will be held in Rabat, Morocco, on 27 January, 2025.
Motsepe opened the meeting by congratulating Morocco after world football governing body FIFA decided to award the centenary World Cup 2030 to a joint bid by Morocco, Portugal and Spain.

The council also deliberated on the CAF Competitions Calendar for 2025 and beyond.
With regards to youth competitions, the executive council resolved that the U-17 AFCON will be hosted in Morocco in both 2025 and 2026.
The Committee also announced that the U-20 AFCON will be held in Cote d’Ivoire in 2025.
