Chelsea secured a 2-1 victory over Brentford in a Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
With the victory, the Blues are now in second spot and have moved to with two points of league leaders Liverpool.
Marc Cucurella’s first-half header set them on their way against Brentford before Nicolas Jackson, who had wasted a few chances before, doubled their lead in the 80th minute.
The final minutes were nervy as Bryan Mbeumo halved the deficit for Brentford and goalscorer Cucurella was shown a red card after a second yellow card late on.
