Opeyemi Bamidele, the majority leader of the upper legislative chamber, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sleeps well because of the trust he has in the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Bamidele stated this when he spoke at an event hosted by spokespersons of senators in Abuja to mark Akpabio’s 62nd birthday on Monday, December 9.
He stated that he and his colleagues are proud of Akpabio and appreciate him for his leadership.
In his words;
‘’I know one of the reasons he (Tinubu) is able to sleep well is because he has you (Akpabio) as the president of the Senate, He trusts you. He depends on you. Mr President of the Senate, we are all very proud of you. I’m standing with my colleagues.
I’m always privileged to speak on their behalf and I know I’m not saying anything other than what they expect me to say. We are very proud of you. We just want to thank you for who you are and we want to thank you for the kind of leadership that you provide.”
