Nigerian music sensation, Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has stunned fans with news of an upcoming music break.
The singer revealed he will take a break from releasing new music until 2026, following the unveiling of his highly anticipated EP, Uncle K, set to drop on November 29, 2024.
“After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026,” he announced on his X handle on Friday, sparking a wave of reactions from fans who expressed their mixed feelings at the thought of his absence from the music scene.
Since his breakout hit Woju in 2016, Kizz Daniel has cemented his place as one of Nigeria’s most consistent hitmakers, boasting five studio albums and an impressive catalogue of chart-topping singles.
Amid the buzz around his sabbatical, the artiste shared a personal tragedy, revealing that his wife recently lost her mother to breast cancer.
He appealed to his fanbase, the Vaddicts, for prayers in her honour.
“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her… Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote.
As fans brace for the wait, Uncle K promises to be a memorable farewell gift, showcasing the artistry that has kept Kizz Daniel at the forefront of Afrobeats.
