Organisers of the 67th Academy Grammy Awards in the United States on Friday unveiled the nominees for the prestigious awards with many Nigerians making the cuts.
Leading the Nigerian cast to the event slated for February 2, 2025, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles are Yemi Alade, David Adeleke aka Davido and Ahmed Ololade popularly known as Asake.
Others are – Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid), Lekan Osifeso (Lojay), Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu (Burna Boy) and Temilade Openiyi (Tems).
They were nominated in the “Best African Music Performance” category.

Tems was also nominated in the “Best R&B Song” category alongside the Ghanaian music producer, Ronald Banful aka Guiltybeatz, for the song “Burning.”
Burna Boy was the first Nigerian to win the Grammy Awards in 2021.
