The items presented include 200 bags of 25k of rice, 100 bags of 25k millet, 200 cartons of Spaghetti, 200 bags of Semovita and 50 cartons of Maggi.
The Federal Government has provided food items, mats, blankets, children’s clothing, and charcoal stoves to the victims of the petrol tanker explosion in Jigawa.
Presenting the items, the National Commission for the National Commission for Refugee, Migrant and Instantly Display Persons (NCFRMI), Hon Tijjani Aliyu Ahmad said: “As you are aware the National Commission for Refugee, Migrant and Instantly Display Persons (NCFRMI) is an agency of the federal government with the mandate to coordinate national actions for the protections, assistance and provisions of durable solutions to person of concern that is IDPs, Refugees, Migrant, Asylums Seekers, Returnees and Stateless Persons.
“Our mandate to ensure durable solutions through returning to ancestral land, local Interventions or resettlement, supported by essential service like education, healthcare and livelihood.
“In line with president Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda which is central to our efforts to rebuild a stronger and more resilient Nigeria, NCFRMI is committed to ensuring peace and stability especially for persons of concern in Jigawa state through impactful intervention”.

Other items are robber mats, blankets, children wears, cooking oil charcoal stoves and mattresses.
Governor Umar Namadi constituted an independent committee for judicial distributions of the donations of over N1.5 billion and food commodities to families of 182 deceased and over 80 victims of the tragedy.
