Lionel Messi, the world-famous Argentina legend, has sent some words of advice to former Real Madrid youngster, Nico Paz, noting that the midfielder was not born when he [Messi] made his debut.
Messi waxed lyrical of the 20-year-old who made his Albiceleste debut in Argentina’s 6-0 demolition of Bolivia in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier earlier this week.
He advised the youngster to continue improving on the way he is playing.
Paz came off the bench in place of Lautaro Martinez in the second half, with Argentina already 3-0 up at the break
The goals came from the boots of Messi, Martinez and Julian Alvarez.
The 20-year-old came through the ranks at Real Madrid before moving from Castilla to Como this summer.
Argentina captain, Messi said as per GOAL, “Now Nico Paz has made his debut, and he has a lot of quality, and I hope he continues to grow.
“He wasn’t born when I made my debut in Primera, yes, I knew (laughs).
“He has a great head. He understands the game perfectly, and I hope he continues like this.
“He played; he enjoyed it, and I think he’ll feel comfortable in this team because he likes having the ball.”
