The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno has earned a Doctoral Degree in Public Administration from the University of Uyo.
He announced the successful defence of his thesis on his official X account.
Governor Eno’s thesis, titled “Government and Private Sector Development: A Study of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Akwa Ibom State,” aligns with his vision for bolstering the state’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The research highlights the importance of collaboration between the government and private sector for sustainable development.
The governor dedicated his achievement to his late wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno, whom he credited for inspiring him to pursue his academic goal.
He expressed gratitude to the University of Uyo and the academic community for their support throughout his doctoral journey.
In a tweet, Governor Eno shared his excitement, saying: “I’m happy to share that I have successfully defended my Doctoral Degree in Public Administration… My thesis… is a blueprint that aligns with my vision for strengthening SMEs in the state. This accomplishment is dedicated to my late wife… Thank you to the University of Uyo, my professors, and everyone who supported me on this journey!”
