Nigerian Afropop recording artiste, Ekenedirichukwu Ijemba popularly known in music circles as Humblesmith has explained his long absence from the music scene.
The musician who achieved recognition upon the release of his hit single titled “Osinachi” in 2015 disclosed that he decided to keep a low profile because some people tried to shut him up.
Humblesmith who made the disclosure during an Instagram live session also noted that there were people and forces in the music industry who wanted him to give up his career.

He said; “There were moments when I felt like I was being silenced. It wasn’t just about the lack of music or releases—it was deeper. There were people and forces that wanted to see me give up. They tried to push me out, but I stayed grounded because I knew my purpose.”
Humblesmith also discussed the life and professional lessons he learned from adversity, stating that these experiences had strengthened him and given him the fortitude to go on.
‘‘I had to go through that period to understand the power within me. Now, I’m not afraid of any obstacles. I’ve seen what the lowest point looks like, and I’ve come out stronger. I’m ready to crush anything or anyone that tries to stop me again.” He added.
