Aston Young, a Nigerian man, criticized lawyer Stella after she suggested that couples should do whatever necessary to improve their relationship, including sharing household chores.
“Do whatever it takes to keep your marriage strong. If your wife is not able to cook tonight then you do it willingly.
“Enjoy the manifestation of your deep love for each other. As a married couple you are on the same team. Therefore, make decisions and divide household responsibilities in a way that honors both of you,” the lawyer wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday night.
Commenting on the post, he said if she is seeking marriage equality she should have paid her own bride price.
“I wonder the situation you subjecting your husband to just because you into law field then everything seems equal with your man, why didn’t you pay your bride price yourself then look for a man you can tag a husband to share house chores with,
“I’m sorry for this confused generation seeking equality without sense, some day you feminist will still seek to be equal with God and that gets you people to doom.. you dey use your husband dey practice law,” he wrote.
