Operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested at least three individuals suspected of vote buying during the ongoing governorship election in Edo State.
According to Channels TV, the suspects were arrested in the Egor Local Government Area of the state around 10:00 am on Saturday.
EFCC officials left the location with three suspects – two males and a female.
But some residents kicked against the arrest, insisting that the suspects were being victimized.
The commission had prior to the election, warned political parties against vote buying.
