The immediate-past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has accused his successor, Siminalayi Fubara of spreading lies about him.
He also stated that Fubara abandoned supporters that contributed to his election victory.
In a Channels TV interview, the FCT Minister denied allegations of demanding billions of naira from Fubara, calling the claims “unfair” and “laughable.”
He stated, “They say I’m asking for N20 billion, N100 billion; he spreads lies against me. I brought you up, I put you here. Fubara abandoned those who laboured for him.”
Wike emphasized his role in Fubara’s political ascent and criticized the governor’s alleged ingratitude toward those who helped him attain office.
