A travel agent has been brought before a magistrate’s court in Gyadi Gyadi, Kumbotso LGA, Kano State, on charges of fraud. He is accused of obtaining N1 million under the guise of securing visas for two individuals, Bashir Hassan and Hussaini Hassan.

The police told the court that after collecting the money from the victims, he issued them fake travel visas to Saudi Arabia.
Counsel to the accused, Barrister A. I. Alhassan, urged the court to admit his client to bail, which the Magistrate, Hajiya Rakiya Lami Sani, granted in the sum of N800,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to September 21.
