This achievement marks another Nigerian medal in Para-Athletics at the current Games, bringing their total medal count to four.
At 40 years old, Ugwunwa continues to excel, now boasting three consecutive Paralympic medals: two Golds from Rio and Tokyo, and a Silver from Paris.

The 23-year-old triumphed on Friday, defeating China’s Cui Jianjin, who claimed silver with a lift of 140kg, and Mexico’s Amelia Perez, who took the bronze medal with a lift of 130kg.
