The Police Service Commission (PSC) has promoted the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke, and seven others to the next rank of Assistant Inspectors- General of Police (AIG).
The PSC’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
Other promoted are the CP, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Benneth Igwe, the acting Assistant Inspector-General of Police, PAB, Force Headquarters Abuja, Suleiman Abdul, the CP, Ebonyi State, Augustina Nwuka Ogbodo and CP, Admin, Works, Force Headquarters Abuja, Stephen Olanrewaju.
The rest are the CP, Abia State, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, CP Admin, FID, Abuja, Adegboyega Adegboye, and CP Communication DICT Force Headquarters, Abuja, Mohammed Bala Labbo.
Ani added that 15 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to CPs.
