Nigerian activist, critic, and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM) has berated celebrities who supported transvestite Bobrisky following his recent release from prison.
Recall that Bobrisky publicly thanked people including Don Jazzy who sent him money while he was away in prison for six months for naira abuse and his subsequent release.
On August 25, 2024, the controversial transvestite took to his Instagram page to publicly thank friends, celebrities, and fans for their support throughout his stay in prison.
“Few people that know me know I love to appreciate Favour. There’s dis popular words that say if you thank people who was there for you today you will get another one when you need them. God bless you all for standing up for dis little child God bless you. There are still good people.” Bobrisky wrote on IG.

In response to the development, Very Dark Man questioned the idea that since Bobrisky is sponsored by celebrities, it should be acceptable because “it’s their money.”
He said; “With respect to this Bobrisky thing and the people who contributed money, and in respect to my previous video, there was a particular comment that I saw where someone said, ‘Is it your money?’
VDM went one step further, raising concerns about potential detrimental impacts on society and raising questions about the wider ramifications of these sponsorships.
“If we are going by that, by now this country won’t be the way it is. There are some people waiting to use their own money to sponsor the buying of Igbo’s, there are people waiting to sponsor the buying of Hausa’s and Yoruba’s in this country. Yes, it is their money but should we let them?”, he added.
