Edo Queens have made history as the second Nigerian club to win the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament.
The Benin club are winning the competition after Bayelsa United claimed the title in 2022.
Edo Queens defeated Benin Republic’s Ainonvi FC 3-0 in the final of the regional competition.
The game played at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake on Friday night, saw the Edo ladies dominate the game and had the result to show for it.

Captain Suliat Abideeen gave Moses Aduku’s side the lead just before the break.
Enterprising forward Emem Essien doubled the lead on the hour mark before Elizabeth Ukandu scored an own goal 14 minutes from time.
With the result, the Nigerian champions have sealed a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
