Paul Ibe, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has slammed the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, after he said that he would not leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), rather he would stay and fight.
Paul Ibe said on Thursday that if the former Rivers state governor wanted to fight for the good of the party, it would have been better.
It was reported that while addressing journalists on Wednesday, Wike said he would not join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I don’t run away from any fight. I will stay there (in the PDP) and fight it out. Who am I going to run from? The vampires?
“Anybody who knows me, know too well that if I want to join the APC today, … When I was there in the PDP, didn’t I tell them I will not support your presidential candidate, did I do it secretly? Wike told newsmen in Abuja.”
In his reaction, on his X handle, Ibe said, “Yes, it is good to fight. But it depends on what you are fighting for (read destroying). If a son stands by and watches his father being insulted and denigrated without putting up a fight in defence of his beloved father, then such a son stands qualified to be identified as a bastard. Only a prodigal son will mortgage his father’s inheritance. And only a Judas Iscariot will sell His Master for 30 pieces of silver.”
