Kelechi Iheanacho has been registered to play in La Liga following his move to Sevilla.
Recall that the Spanish club signed Iheanacho after his contract expired at Leicester City in June.
The Super Eagles forward made his first pre-season appearance for the club two weeks ago in a 4-1 loss to Liverpool.
However, he had to sit out Sevilla’s opening game of the season against Las Palmas last week after it was revealed that the club failed to register him for La Liga due to the league’s stringent financial rules.
But the club has found a way to navigate past La Liga’s rules after Argentina defender Marcos Acuna left the club for River Plate.
Now, in a new development on Wednesday, Spanish journalist Gonzalo Tortosa has confirmed that Sevilla have registered Iheanacho for La Liga this season.
With Sevilla completing Iheanacho’s registration, he will be available for selection when they play Villarreal at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Friday.
