Former Kaduna lawmaker, Sen Shehu Sani has reacted to the allegations filed against the National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, by the Nigeria Police.
In a post on the X platform, he stated that the charges of alleged terrorism financing, and criminal conspiracy, among others were strange and unfortunate.
“Terrorism allegation against the NLC President Ajaero is strange and unfortunate,” the senator posted on X.
Recall that the police on Monday invited Ajaero for questioning over allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony, cybercrime and other related offenses.
The invitation contained in a letter dated August 19, 2024, was signed by ACP Adamu Muazu on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Response Team.
The police had warned that a warrant of arrest would be issued against Ajaero if he failed to appear for interrogation on Tuesday (today).
